On Wednesday 23 October, we organised a webinar dedicated to Project Peatland. The programme included:
- Corekees founder Nick van Heesewijk and project manager Thom Sabel introduce the project and explain how it fits in with our mission.
- Philipp Gramlich from the Peat-Free Foundation explains the impact of drained peatlands and the urgency of making the potting soil industry peat-free.
- Julia Kasper, co-founder of ZukunftMoor (our local project partner), discusses the opportunities offered by ”paludiculture” and setting up a Sphagnum Moss farm.
In addition, there was ample opportunity to ask questions.
